A condominium buyer actually buys two things with one transaction: the individual condo unit, and a share in the corporation that owns the land and the common elements (elevators, parking garage, walkways, grounds, and so on). It's a given that you'll look over a condo with great care when deciding to make an offer (the size of the kitchen, the layout of the bedroom, the view of the Toronto waterfront from the balcony, ...), but the second part of the purchase is just as important as the first.
